SCAT Rovers' BPSA Survival Night

BPSA Survival Night

When: Friday the 13th of August, 6pm-9pm

Where: Lodge at Mt Keira Scout Camp

Price: SCAT Rovers $2, non-SCAT Rovers $10

Also: Rover Intro/Rover Programming at MKSC held on the Sat 14/Sun 15 for your convenience  :-)  Registration for that is separate.

What: The information session for the Baden Powell Scout Award was held last year with great success and the SCAT RRC is looking to continue this useful event, now being open to Rovers from outside SCAT. Dinner (pizza) will be provided as part of the price.

Last year we found that the aspects of the evening where previous awardees spoke of their personal experiences with achieving the award were raved about by attendees and so we hope to make more use of all the amazing awards out there.

To structure the session we will speak of each method and badge in turn, firstly (and very quickly) of the technical requirements, then followed by one or two awardees accounts who felt they were outstanding/had the most enjoyment/had substantial personal growth doing that particular badge.

Following the individual badges there may be opportunity for the BP awardees to speak of their award as a whole if the combined aspects had a significant impact on their life. We will put logs on display and provide opportunity for rovers to ask questions and workshop ideas for their own award.

If you are interested in being inspired to excel beyond your expectations, to get the most out of Rovers and to inspire your fellow Rovers, please:

  • RSVP your crew and numbers to
  • whether you would like to camp overnight ($5 person/night) and would like breakfast Saturday morning.

Yours in Rovering,

Emily Whitelaw
Chairperson SCAT RRC
