Working With Children Check

The Office of the Children’s Guardian (“OCG”), administers the processing of Working with Children Check (“WWCC”) Clearances process as a result of the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012 as amended.  The WWCC applies to all paid employees and volunteers, who are considered to be working with children.

I would bring to your attention the following advice from the Chief Commissioner.

All Adult Members, Rovers and Adult Helpers attending Australian Jamboree 2016 and Dragonskin 2015 must apply immediately and are required to complete the process by 20 March 2015.  Failure to obtain your WWCC Clearance and provide it to Region Office for verification will prevent your participation in the event you may be applying to attend. If already done and advised to Region you do not have to worry. If you need to obtain the WWCC please advise Region Office once it is done with WWCC number, expiry date and your Date of Birth.

All other Adult Members, Rovers and Adult Helpers need to have a WWCC Check but we will advise when this is to be completed. Please don’t rush in to get the check if the above doesn’t apply.

Any questions do not hesitate to contact me.

Neville Henderson
Region Commissioner
